Emsworth Forum worked tirelessly for more than 7 years to get the Neighbourhood Plan together.  It’s a 86-page document projecting the views of local people on how Emsworth can move ahead as a desirable and well-planned town.  91% of Emsworth voters said YES to the Plan in July 2021.

From now on this Neighbourhood Plan is officially set to positively influence the planners and HBC involved in any new buildings or changes to the environment including roads, shops, open spaces, leisure facilities and more.

‘I am absolutely delighted’ said Stephanie Elsy, Chair of the Emsworth Neighbourhood Forum, who put the Plan together. ‘The turnout was amazing and the overwhelming 91% support of Emsworth voters for the Neighbourhood Plan was humbling and way beyond what we expected. It was one of the best referendum results in the country and we are over the moon!’
